Environmental, Social & Governance Impact Plan

Aletheia Healing Center is committed to operating in a manner that supports environmental stewardship, community well-being, and ethical governance within Colorado’s Natural Medicine program. Our impact model is grounded in measurable actions that benefit both the local ecosystem and the mental health landscape of Pitkin County.

Environmental Impact Plan

Goal: Reduce environmental footprint and operate with sustainable, energy-conscious practices aligned with Colorado environmental values.

Plan & Commitments:

  • Energy Efficiency & Waste Reduction

    • Transition office lighting to 100% LED fixtures by Q4 2026.

    • Minimize single-use items in the healing space, replacing with reusable linens, glassware, and biodegradable materials when possible.

    • Adopt digital-first documentation to reduce printing, with an aim to reduce paper use by 60% by end of Year 1.

  • Environmental Stewardship & Local Contribution

    • Allocate 1% of annual net profits starting Year 2 to a Roaring Fork Valley environmental nonprofit or land stewardship organization (e.g., Aspen Center for Environmental Studies or local watershed/wildfire resiliency initiatives).

    • Prioritize local sourcing for goods and services when available to reduce transportation emissions and support circular economy practices.

  • Long-Term Sustainability Goals

    • Establish a sustainability review process every 12 months to measure progress and set updated environmental targets.

    • Explore solar and renewable energy integration feasibility for future expansion phases post-licensure.

Social Impact Plan

Goal: Increase community access to regulated natural medicine services, support the local workforce, and contribute positively to mental-health outcomes in Pitkin County.

Plan & Commitments:

  • Livable Wage Standards & Workforce Well-Being

    • Pay all employed facilitators a minimum local-adjusted livable wage beginning at launch.

    • Conduct annual compensation reviews to ensure wages remain aligned with Pitkin County cost of living metrics.

    • Provide staff with clinical supervision, peer support, and wellness resources to promote longevity and reduce burnout.

  • Sliding Scale & Access Equity

    • Implement a sliding-scale pricing model for individuals living in APCHA housing or working full-time in Pitkin County, beginning within the first 6 months of operational licensure.

    • Target 5% of sessions annually to be allocated to reduced-fee access for qualifying residents, evaluated and adjusted yearly based on demand and capacity.

  • Community Benefit & Education

    • Host annual educational workshops on psychedelic safety, ethics, and harm-reduction practices open to the local community.

    • Establish client assistance funds and/or scholarship pathways beginning no later than Year 2 to support individuals with financial need.

    • Collaborate with Colorado and Oregon training programs (InnerTrek, Naropa, CU Denver) to offer at least one mentorship seat per year for new facilitators.

Governance Practices

Goal: Operate with transparent, ethical, compliant governance aligned with state regulations for natural medicine businesses.

Governance Policies:

  • Maintain written SOPs for facilitator ethics, safety protocols, and informed consent processes.

  • Conduct annual protocol audits to ensure alignment with DOR rules, Board of Health recommendations, and evolving best practices in psychedelic care.

  • Uphold data privacy, confidentiality standards, and trauma-informed care principles in all client interactions.

Evaluation & Reporting

Aletheia Healing Center will track environmental and social progress annually and maintain documentation demonstrating performance relative to stated goals. Updated metrics and program adjustments will be published internally and made available upon state request.
