A brief story
About Me
It all started when...
Born and raised in Aspen, Colorado, Ashley’s journey into the world of healing and consciousness began with an early fascination with people, cultures, and the unseen threads that connect us all. With the unique global exposure Aspen provides, Ashley became an exchange student at the age of 14 in Shimukappu, Japan, and later represented Aspen as a Rotary Youth Exchange student in Lilydale, Australia. These formative experiences ignited a lifelong passion for cross-cultural understanding and the transformative power of connection.
Ashley earned her degree in Cultural Anthropology and International Relations from Wake Forest University. While studying education systems in Nepal during college, she encountered Buddhist philosophy and ceremonial shamanic healing practices—an early glimpse into the integration of spiritual wisdom and healing that would later define her career.
After a successful but ultimately unfulfilling stint in investment banking at Credit Suisse in Chicago, a personal health crisis—thyroid cancer—served as a powerful catalyst for transformation. Ashley left the corporate world and followed her true calling: to study the nature of healing.
She pursued a Master’s in Integral Psychology at the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS) in San Francisco, where she focused on a holistic approach to mental health—blending Eastern philosophy, Indigenous knowledge, and Western psychology. It was at CIIS that Ashley first encountered psychedelic-assisted therapy in her Transpersonal and Cross-Cultural Psychology coursework, and the path forward became clear.
Her studies deepened through direct experience, working closely with mentors and guides in the Bay Area, and participating in healing ceremonies with wachuma in the Berkeley Hills and traditional practices with shamans in remote Balinese villages. But it was her own inner healing journey—facing trauma, grief, and rebirth through the medicine—that became her most profound training ground.
In addition to her work in the psychedelic realm, Ashley has been a practicing psychotherapist for over 15 years, maintaining a robust and respected clinical practice. Her ability to weave together traditional psychotherapy with integral and psychedelic healing modalities positions her uniquely to support deep, lasting transformation. She believes that the therapeutic container is just as vital as the medicine itself, and her extensive clinical background ensures that the work is not only profound, but also safe, ethical, and trauma-informed.
As psychedelic therapy began emerging into mainstream visibility, Ashley trained with psilocybin in a legal context in Jamaica, and in 2022, she became a Certified Psychedelic-Assisted Therapist through Naropa University’s pioneering certificate program.
Today, Ashley is proud to be one of Colorado’s first Licensed Clinical Facilitators of psilocybin. With over 15 years of immersion in integrative healing and personal transformation, she brings a grounded, compassionate presence to her work. Her practice is rooted in integrity, cultural humility, and the belief that true healing comes from remembering who we are—and reclaiming the parts of ourselves we've forgotten along the way.
